In the Integral Rehabilitation Center of “COMUNIDAD CRECER IAP” we are guided by “THE SOLIDARITY PEDAGOGY OF DR JOHN MC GEE”, which is the base philosophy for the families and professionals who work there.

We study and make permanent research in the areas that can be important for the development of all the students, such as: pedagogy, occupational therapy, language therapy, physical therapy, computers, special education, augmentative and alternative communication, assistive technology arts, prelaboral activities, social integration , community activities, In some cases we help some students in educational integration, etc.

Our Mission is centered in the daily superation of all the students who guide us to find "Multiple solutions " in regard to the "Multiple challenges " in the individual program of each one, permitting the maximal development of their potentialities in a joint effort of the students, families and professionals joined in a “Team work”, with harmonious relations.

We are part of the Social Net of non governmental organizations on behalf of the people with disabilities, as well as with some national and international organizations, government and society.

BACKGROUND

COMUNIDAD CRECER IAP was founded in 1988 by a group of families, with the main purpose of providing education and rehabilitation services to their sons and daughters with multiple disabilities We wanted to fight from the very beginning against the discrimination practices that were common even now in our country, in the private as well as the public schools, and many aspects of the daily life affecting the people with multiple disabilities and their families.
